1. Deposit and Enrollment

Enrollment in any CNTC class requires a deposit at the time of registration to reserve Student’s seat. The remaining balance of the class fee is due no later than 10 days before the first day of class. Student’s seat is not guaranteed until the deposit is received and processed.

2. Refund Policy

All payments, including deposits, are refundable within 72 hours of the time of payment. After 72 hours from the time of payment, all amounts paid to CNTC are non-refundable. If Student’s plans change after the 72-hour window, CNTC will, at its discretion, apply the deposit as a credit toward a future class within one year of the original payment date.

3. Balance Collection; Payment Authorization

Student authorizes CNTC to charge the payment method provided at the time of enrollment for the remaining balance of the class fee on or after the balance due date (14 days before class). If Student wishes to use a different payment method for the balance, Student must notify CNTC in writing or by phone before the balance due date. Failure to notify CNTC will be deemed authorization to charge the original payment method on file.

4. Cancellation by CNTC

CNTC may cancel a scheduled class up to 24 hours before its scheduled start time due to circumstances outside the company’s reasonable control, including but not limited to instructor unavailability, insufficient enrollment, facility issues, or weather. In the event of cancellation by CNTC, Student may either reschedule for the next available session at no additional cost or receive a full refund within 30 days of the cancellation notice.

5. Class Retake Policy

A Student who fully participates in the program but does not pass the relevant licensing or certification exam may retake the same class at no additional cost within one year of the initial class, provided that Student submits written proof of not passing (such as a results letter) and that space is available in the desired session. Retakes are subject to CNTC’s scheduling and seat availability.

6. No Guarantee of Exam Outcomes

CNTC makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee that any Student will pass the Illinois State Exam, the City of Chicago Exam, or any other licensing or certification exam related to its course content. Exam outcomes depend on factors outside CNTC’s control, including Student’s preparation, the content of the exam administered, and other circumstances on the day of the exam.

7. Exam Registration

Registering for any licensing or certification exam, including but not limited to exams administered by Continental Testing, the City of Chicago, or any other authority, is the sole responsibility of the Student. CNTC is not responsible for exam scheduling, registration, fees, identification requirements, or any other matters relating to the exam itself.

8. Photo and Media Release

Photographs and video may be taken during class sessions. By enrolling, Student grants CNTC permission to use Student’s likeness in marketing, promotional, and educational materials, in any medium now known or later developed, without further notice or compensation. If Student does not wish to be photographed or recorded, Student must notify the instructor in writing or in person before the class begins.

9. Classroom Conduct

During class sessions, Students may not use cell phones, take photographs, or record audio or video. CNTC reserves the right to remove any Student from a class for disruptive behavior, refusal to follow instructor directions, or violation of these conduct rules, without refund.

10. Course Materials

All class materials provided by CNTC, including but not limited to handouts, slide decks, study guides, practice questions, and recordings, are the proprietary property of CNTC. Student may use these materials solely for Student’s own educational purposes and may not reproduce, share, distribute, sell, or post them online without the express written consent of CNTC.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Student agrees that CNTC’s total liability to Student, arising from any act, error, or omission by CNTC in connection with the services provided under this Agreement, is limited to the total fees paid by Student to CNTC for the class in question. This limitation does not apply to liability arising from CNTC’s gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

12. Entire Agreement; Severability

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding Student’s enrollment in the class and supersedes any prior understanding or agreement. If any provision of this Agreement is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

13. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under this Agreement will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.

Student Acknowledgment

By signing the enrollment form or paying a deposit, Student acknowledges that they have read this Class Enrollment Agreement in full, understand its terms, and agree to be bound by it. Specifically, Student acknowledges:

• I understand that my deposit reserves my seat in the class, and that the remaining balance is due 14 days before class begins.
• I understand that all payments are refundable within 72 hours of payment, and non-refundable thereafter, except as a credit toward a future class.
• I authorize CNTC to charge my payment method on file for the remaining balance unless I provide alternative payment arrangements before the balance due date.
• I understand that CNTC does not guarantee that I will pass the Illinois State Exam, City of Chicago Exam, or any other licensing or certification exam.
• I understand that registering for any licensing or certification exam is my own responsibility.
• I consent to being photographed or recorded during class sessions for CNTC’s marketing and educational use, unless I notify the instructor before class begins.
