Before You Register.
How do I register for the actual Illinois Roofing exam?
After completing our prep, you register directly with Continental Testing Services. The exam fee is $248, paid to Continental Testing. Visit Continental Testing Services here. Give us a call if you have any questions and we’re happy to help.
When can I take the exam?
The exam is 1 week after our roofing course, so the information will be fresh in your mind before exam day. Plus you get to keep your class materials and hundreds of practice questions to help you study.
Which license do I apply for? Residential or Unlimited?
You can get your Unlimited license on the first exam you take, and that will allow you to legally work on any roof in the state. The Residential license covers solely home roofing work for buildings with fewer than 8 units. Most students pursue the Unlimited license.
Can’t I just pass on my own?
You can try, but the exam tests theory, not practical roofing. Self-study means buying 8 books (over $2,000) and hours of studying thousands of pages alone. Our prep cuts through the noise and gives you what you need to pass.
Why this school?
Illinois’ first roofing exam prep course, running since 2010. We’ve prepared students for hundreds of different versions of the exam and we know what actually matters. Plus we offer preferred rates on follow on courses only we offer (like Xactimate and Public Adjuster), and other services to help your business grow!
What’s included in the course?
2.5-day Residential or 3-day Unlimited class, complete study guide, PowerPoint notes and practice exams (yours to keep), live in Rosemont or Zoom, coffee & snacks on us. Unlimited retakes for 1 year.
